Branding
Mountsorrel landlords Helen & Danny wanted to start a local craft brewery on their premises. Looking for a new name, look & feel they called on our services to help. Something for the locals was very much at the heart of their story, and given Mountsorrel sits on the banks of the River Soar, it couldn't really be called anything else. The logotype itself was matched to the shape of the Buttermarket in the town, and we called on (relatively local) talent Katie Hounsome to provide some illustrations for use on beer taps and posters. With brewing beginning to ramp up we look forward to creating more with this family-led local brewery.

When new kids on the Balham brunch block, Brother Marcus, decided to expand Cause & Effect were asked to look at their brand and help them develop from a brooklyn-style coffee shop to be a more refined dining experience with Kretan heritage. We took the 3 school-friends through a branding workshop, applying a more grown set of brand values and an evolution of their logo that has been developed into a graphic language to be used across all their interiors and collateral. We look forward to seeing it all in action in the top secret new location north of the river.
